Airport Art: Roger Blakley

Earlier this month, I picked up my brother at University of Illinois Willard Airport near Champaign. John was flying in from Oregon via Chicago to visit our mother. I had a few minutes to explore the art in the arrival and departure lounge.

One exhibit was a series of aviation prints. The second form of art was two suspended birdlike sculptures. Most interesting to me were two wall sculptures done by Roger Blakley, one of Stacey’s teachers at the U of I’s School of Art and Design.
