Hometown Gallery, Quad City Arts

A walk earlier this week took us to the Quad City Arts main gallery on Second Avenue in downtown Rock Island. The featured exhibit, which ended today, comprised works by painter Dan Johnson and sculptor Christine Forni. I was attracted to Johnson’s abstract realism, which was maybe more toward the abstract end of that spectrum.

The gallery will be hosting the annual High School Art Invitational beginning next week. Stacey and several of her students will be exhibiting. The reception and awards ceremony is on Thursday, April 16, at 6:30 pm.
