Kendricks House, Architect John Replinger

Eight years after designing the second Slichter house in 1981, John attracted a commission from Leroy and Marian Kendricks in 1989. Leroy Kendricks, like at least one previous client, was an engineer. He and wife Marian had two small boys.

The house was built in the then new subdivision Robeson Meadows, designed by John’s architect colleague Bruce Hutchings. The subdivision is laced by walking paths, one of which runs along the back (south) side of the house. The house is located within easy walking distance (a quarter mile) of restaurants and stores at Robeson Crossing (Duncan and Windsor).
